Our dear friend Heather needs you!

2018 was a whirlwind. Married in November 2017 and diagnosed with cancer the very next month, she underwent a double mastectomy in January, follow by six months of chemotherapy; after that came two months of daily radiation treatments. She has been in and out of hospitals for surgery and breast cancer treatments for the last year and a half, and the stress from medical debt is tremendous. She is still trying to dig out of last year's cancer-induced hole, and now she has to have another major surgery. This surgery comes along with a hefty price tag as well as a 4-6 week recovery period, which means that she cannot work. Her place of employment does not offer medical leave.

If you know Heather and her lovely wife, Nikki, then you know what generous, kind-hearted humans they are. As cliché as it sounds, if you needed a shirt, they would both be willing to give you the shirts off of their backs (and I guarantee that they would be cute shirts, too!).

We are hosting a benefit show for Heather to help with her medical debt and time off of work on 6.15 from 5-9 pm. The Music Room at The Market has been kind enough to let use utilize their awesome space. $10 at the door gets you live music from talented singer-songwriters, a 50/50 raffle and more. There is a bar and a food menu, so you can eat while you're there! And if you can't find a sitter, have no fear- kiddos get in free.
